I found several bad scratches on my inside door panel and a few exterior paint scratches after they finished my oil change service. I told them someone was not careful enough during service. They fixed the damage for me. Definitely would not recommend Barrier Volvo in Bellevue.
This is bar far the worst dealership I have been to for many reasons: 1) The salesperson was taking us around a parking lot for 15 minutes looking for the car that I wanted to test drive. and YES I went there with an appointment to test drive this car. 2) The car was manual but was listed online as automatic. 3) I called and asked if I could test drive the car even though I dont have car insurance. and I was told it is ok as the salesperson goes with us. When I arrived there he said that he must be driving the car. (what kind of a test drive is it if you are driving it, and why didnt you tell me when i asked you in the first place) 4) The manager comes in. ATTITUDE! "do you really want to buy this car?" like I would wanna waste my time there for the FUN of it. Oh and I forgot to say they give you free CARWASH. that compensates for all the above. When you see a dealership like this RUN, dont walk. and that is what I did. btw, other dealerships had no problem letting me driv

It seemed as if the sales associate that worked with us didn't even want to sell us a car. As we were looking through the Jetta's and I expressed interest in one of the cars he handed me his card and wished me luck on my car hunt. Due to the lack of service from our salesman we decided to look somewhere else for a car.
I have to consider the two departments separate. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from Chaplin's, only had positive experiences (though stay away from the windshield treatment, microchip, etc. tack-ons during sale). I've given up on the service dept though. My Jetta had a lifter issue early in it's life, Chaplin's took over two weeks to diagnose the problem (needed help from Germany) and left me stranded without a loaner until VWoA got involved. I then spent some time out of town and had all my following scheduled maintenance work done elsewhere without problem. The final repair on the Jetta was a door latch issue that was fixed without issue. I recently had my R32 in for a service, they overfilled the oil, left some kind of residue on the steering wheel, and marred the door pull handle. Issues were resolved, but I can't trust a dealer that puts 6.2 qts of oil when the manual specs 5.8 (check the dipstick!!).

Don't mean to sound like a commercial but I really need to give credit to where it is due. Last weekend a kid took out my rear windshield with a baseball, my insurance company told me to cover it in plastic then wait until Monday. Uh, if my car were there the next morning I was sure the radio would be missing and someone would be sleeping in it. I called Michael's Toyota in Bellevue in tears, I get my car serviced there regularly and did not know who else to call, JR in service said not only could I keep it in their garage until a windshield replacement guy came out but I could have a loaner for free. I cannot thank them enough.
I have to jump on the 5-star bandwagon for these guys. I have bought my last 3 cars from them and I couldn't be happier. They make it easy to buy a car and their service department rocks! I won't go anywhere else.

I was very happy with the price and how fast I have bought my vehicle from Mike Sansone. The service and financing was easy and fast with all the respect and good service. 1. They messed up my registration, so my vehicle number does not match the model and insurance is not happy (2hrs of my time so far, but it is still in progress) 2. They have lost my bike rack when installing my trailer hitch, which cost me 1.5 hours of my time. 3. They broke the electric wiring when installing the wretched hitch. It cost me another 2 hrs. In the process the service person was shouting on me that I came without appointment when they told me to come. They gave me a loaner with tank not full, and I had to fill it even I have to drive the vehicle only 2 miles. AND WE ARE TALKING HERE ABOUT THE NEW VEHICLE THAT I HAVE OWNED FOR ! MONTH. I have met one of the owners, and he was kind of nice. But they have never offered me any real apology.

This dealership lies, runs up labor hours by providing the consumer with vague and general statements about work that needs to be done, and overall reinforces the stereotype that all dealerships are overpriced and dishonest. Use with extreme caution and skepticism. Details below... I went in because I was having a problem with my key fob. The technician quoted $60 to find the problem. When he was done he called and said that he needed more time (an additional 1.5 hours) which he quoted an additional $180 for. I asked him exactly what he thought the problem was and he said (in very vague and unprecise terms) that there seems a problem with the wiring and the circuitry possibly in the computer or relay from the reciever to the computer. I told him that I did not wanto to authorize an additional 1.5 hours only to have them tell me that they still did not know what the problem was. He assured me that he "has been doing this for 16 years and will definintely find the problem

The service department can be pretty terrible. I took my car in due to a rattling noise with the AC but it was brushed off as being nothing. That was when my warranty was still valid. Now that the warranty is expired they can find and fix the problem but will have to charge me full price. They have a record of the complaint but because they were unable to verify it at the time, there is nothing they can do. I would sort of understand this had they done something more than stand outside the car and say they couldn't hear anything. I recommend the Saturn in Renton. They seem much more honest.
